Vickery Holman requires a lease advisory surveyor to cover a growing workload across the east and south of our region. The team carries out a range of rent reviews, lease renewals and market rent valuations for a wide variety of properties and clients. We work in all main commercial property sectors, with the opportunity to work in more specialised areas such as healthcare and leisure. We work for a mixture of landlord and tenant clients.

This is a great opportunity for a surveyor with experience in landlord and tenant work to be involved at an exciting time of growth for Vickery Holman.

Experience

The ideal candidate would be MRICS qualified having worked in a lease advisory/consultancy role previously, however we also welcome applications from those with commercial agency or valuation backgrounds wishing to move to a different role.

Previous experience with commercial rental valuation required.

Role & Responsibilities

The Head of Property Management will oversee the management and growth of the existing team, ensuring high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills. This role provides the successful candidate with a Board level role within the company. A proven track record or clear potential to perform this role will be key when assessing applications.

Experience

• Great communication and organisational skills
• Able to work dynamically across the south west with teams in several locations
• Self-motivated with clear management skills
• Able to assist other team members in answering questions, solving problems
• Must be good with figures and detail orientated

Role & Responsibilities

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our growing agency team.  It is an assistant role to our agents, but there is progression potential for candidates who wish to pursue a career in agency.

Experience

Previous experience within a property business preferred but not essential as training will be given.
The candidate should be enthusiastic, organised, proactive and able to deal with a busy, high pressure environment.
Previous secretarial or administrative experience is essential.
Driving licence and car to undertake viewings is essential. You will be paid for your work mileage.

Role & Responsibilities

The role offers a level of autonomy, supported by a larger overall regional team. Workload will be diverse, which the successful candidate will be able to manage themselves day to day. Carrying out Business Development activities will be essential to continue building a professional network and future workload.

Rating work is carried out for a wide variety of clients ranging from private individuals through to regional and National. The workload will be very broad and will include inspecting a wide range of commercial properties and leisure businesses; advising clients as to the accuracy of their rateable values; submitting Checks and Challenges on behalf of clients; advising on and implementing business rates mitigation strategies and preparing Council Tax appeals.

The role would be suitable for individuals seeking career progression opportunities.

Candidates should be able to show a track record of carrying out the types of work required and with the Check, Challenge, Appeal process.

Role & Responsibilities

The role offers a level of autonomy, supported by a larger overall regional team. Workload will be diverse, which the successful candidate will be able to manage themselves day to day as well as carrying out Business Development activities to continue building their own network and future workload. We expect the workload to be reasonably broad and include surveys, project monitoring, schedules of condition and planned maintenance surveys. Work is carried out for a wide variety of clients ranging from private individuals through to regional and national.

Management responsibilities are an option for the right candidate, if of interest. The role would be suitable for individuals seeking career progression opportunities.

Candidates must have commercial property experience and be able to show a track record of carrying out the types of work required.
