It has been six months since I have started my career at Vickery Holman in the Plymouth office. Currently I am working in the valuation team and I have been involved in valuations for several different purposes. During this time, I have accompanied my colleagues who have inspected various properties including residential blocks of flats, individual residential properties, residential development sites, HMOs (house of multiple occupation), retail units and industrial units. This wide range of experience is helping to develop my understanding and knowledge, which is valuable in supporting my progression with my APC.
These past six months have been exciting and interesting, learning not only about valuation but meeting lots of new faces through various networking events. I have attended and helped organise the Vickery Holman Young Professionals Events which encourages likeminded young professionals to network and build relationships.
I am looking forward to seeing how my knowledge develops with Vickery Holman as I carry on learning and gaining experience to aid me in gaining my MRICS qualification in the future.
