Robert’s responsibilities at Vickery Holman include overseeing construction management across all offices, acting as a first point of contact for historic building related enquiries and heading the Truro office building surveying department. He has extensive experience across a wide variety of building surveying activities, including commercial and residential surveys, schedules of dilapidations/condition surveys and defects analysis.
Robert has produced due diligence and project monitoring reports for both new build and refurbishment projects for a wide variety of funders across the region. He acts as project manager and contract administrator for infrastructure, commercial and residential new build projects working with concept design, structural engineers and mechanical and electrical partners to provide a holistic project service. Current projects include an extension for a special educational needs (SEN) school and a cliff side private residence. Clients range from private individuals requiring high standards and detail in delivery, to corporate clients.
He retrained as a building surveyor in 2006 following a career in object conservation for Historic Royal Palaces, the De Young Museum in San Francisco, and the National Trust.
